Mood & Emotional Resilience Program

10 Week Program: Book now for Feb 2022

We run two separate programs: One for teens aged 13-17 years, and one for adults 18+.

These programs are designed to help teens and adults enhance their emotional resilience and well-being. It is suitable for teens and adults with signs of stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger and general emotional sensitivity. These workshops aim at teaching lifelong skills in managing stressful life events and enhance coping skills. It is based on a combination of techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, ACT and positive psychology.

 

Program outline

  • Mindfulness skills: being present rather than stuck in the past or worrying about the future
  • Addressing uncomfortable thoughts and feelings
  • Detangling from negative and unhelpful thoughts in our minds
  • Discovering new and helpful ways of thinking and relating to our thoughts
  • Learning to let go and accept the things we can’t control
  • Making good choices to help us move towards our goals
  • Specifying actions to achieve goals in order to develop a meaningful & happy life
  • Stress tolerance & emotional regulation
  • Relaxation techniques

What the program involves

  • 10 weeks of weekly small group classes (6-10 participants):
  • Thursday 4-5pm for teens & 530-630pm for adults.
  • Recordings made available if cannot attend.
  • Set exercises during the week with fortnightly personal check-ins
  • Currently all sessions are being run via Zoom, however once restrictions have lifted completely we will resume in person sessions (with the possibility of combining telehealth and F2F for people who prefer)

Costs

$1200 for 10 weeks.

If Mental Health Treatment Plan can access up to 10 group sessions with rebates of $22.55 per session.
